Once a month we organize Scratch improv Cabaret with a lineup of different improvisers at Expedition Metropolis in Kreuzberg on a Saturday (usually mid-month).

Take the stage, while moving with grace as you bring the audience into a world that has no words. Only movement, sounds, music and emotions. This workshop will change the way you tell a story. It will slow you down and make your work shine. This workshop will focus on space object work, breath, emotion and physical body work.

Clowning: in the art of improv
Robert Rodgers from Cirque Du Soleil is teaching a weekend course on “Clowning” In this safe and fun environment, Robert will transform you and your clown into a whole new level of performance. Have you ever wondered why Charlie Chaplin is so watchable and still so beloved? It’s the complete sense of honesty in movement and voice.
Intro to Improvised Theater (8 weeks)
Our one-of-a-kind course for beginning improvisers. Absolutely no impro or acting experience is needed – come as you are! If you’ve got a bit of experience and want a refresher, that’s also great. What matters is that you’re open-minded, excited about storytelling, and wanna have lots of fun in a safe space with like-minded friends. If so, this course is for you!

Taking the basic vocabulary and simple concepts of clowning we will be creating individual clown acts and group acts. This workshop is about creating a lot of material with your individual clown and how to build a show.

Workshop - Believability, closeness, and silence
Go deeper in your improv skills by being honest, slowing down, showing emotions, listening, and letting the silence play a major role. This workshop will have no emphasis on being funny. The comedy will come out of playing the scenes as true as possible.
